Cleveland, Ohio - USA

.🌿 Sustainability Projects for Women & Families-
We recently partnered with Malachi Center, a non-profit organization supporting individuals and families facing socioeconomic, structural, and trauma-based barriers to success.

As part of this collaboration, we spent a month facilitating sustainability-focused workshops for women, offering hands-on sessions in natural cosmetics and plant-based dyes.

We also hosted family-friendly nature workshops for the center’s weekly Friday gatherings. In these sessions, we brought nature into the classroom, guiding children and parents in creating mandalas and weavings using local, natural materials.

This was a meaningful and fun month and we hope to continue working with this amazing organization.

Canada

Plant life cycle activity-
A great way to explain to kids about the plant life cycle and the importance of plants in our lives,is to do a workshop that includes seed planting, growing, harvesting and cooking for themselves.

As they explore the cycle, they will begin to recognize the link between themselves and other living things and appreciate all the benefits that plants give them.🌱

Sweden

Yoga for families- Introducing yoga to families that migrated to Sweden from all over the world.
A wonderful project that we did in Stockholm together with a local organization.
Each week we visited a different neighborhood, meeting new families and getting to know each other through yoga.

Ecuador

Have you heard about vertical gardening? When you use walls and roofs to benefit from small places to expand the scope of growing plants.
This is exactly what we did with the girls from the Arenal Foundation! We took old pallets, filled them with soil and planted strawberries, lettuce, tomatoes and spices on the roof!
That way, we used a space that is not usually in use.
You can implement vertical gardening using various upcycled materials: pallets, bottles, old tubes and more.

Arts and Crafts from Natural Materials

Enjoying a lovely day outside, exploring the nature around us. Looking at leaves, flowers, learning to see the different patterns, colors and shapes. After that, the kids experimented with making brushes from nature.

Hydroponic Workshop

Teaching kids how to grow their own food with a hydroponic plant.
The kids had a great time and so did we!
They learned how to grow plants without water and ways to grow vegetables at home.

Growing Food ln Cities

We had the opportunity to help build raised beds garden for a wonderful organisation - Hearts of Gold, in Cuenca, Ecuador.
We believe in acquiring new skills and learning how to be self-sufficient.
Growing your own food is one of these skills.
Hopefully, more people will turn concrete floors into green gardens 🌿
Hearts of Gold is doing a wonderfull job in helping and impowering the local community and they are always happy to get new volunteers.

Colmbia

In a small village, by the sea,
the kids wanted the church to look pretty. So we decided to create a small garden. It was so much fun!
It's amazing what you can do with motivation, enthusiasm and amazing kids, in 4 days!

Making flowers from Bottles

This activity is great for teaching about waste problems and ways to reuse materials.
In this simple and fun activity, you create beautiful flowers and reuse old plastic bottles.
The kids in Capurgana, Colombia loved it! They helped to clean the village, and learned how to create less garbage and reuse old bottles.

Mexico

Have a lot of plastic bottles and don't know what to do with them?
Make a stool!
Fun and engaging activity that can be done with kids and adults!
Take a look at the wonderful stools that we made together with kids from Nayarit, Mexico; as part of a series of workshops about waste management.
